Amanda Gerber, Psy.D.

Amanda Gerber, Psy.D., brings experience and dedication to the field of clinical psychology, serving as the Senior Clinical Psychologist and President/ Director of Clinical Training at Interaction Dynamics. With a focus on shaping the next generation of clinicians, Dr. Gerber also holds the role of adjunct clinical professor at Adler University, where she passionately advocates for students and shares her expertise in mental health and developmental psychology. Having earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Adler University, specializing in Child and Adolescent psychology, Dr. Gerber is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Her areas of expertise encompass trauma treatment, depression, anxiety, and mood-related disorders, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and innovative therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Dr. Gerber’s clinical philosophy and supervision style resonate closely with the core values and training focus of the ACEPT program. Her advocacy efforts extend beyond the clinical setting, recognizing the broader societal impact of mental health issues and fostering a culture of growth and innovation within her organization. With her demonstrated leadership and dedication to advancing the field of clinical psychology, Dr. Gerber is thrilled to join the ACEPT community and to serve as the Student Guidelines Committee Co-Chair.

Michele Henhapl, Psy.D.

Michele Henhapl, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Director of Juvenile Justice Behavioral Health Training Programs with Cook County Health at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a focus on child and adolescent clinical psychology. Dr. Henhapl completed her pre-doctoral internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital. Her professional interests include supervision and training, complex trauma, assessment, and attachment theory. Dr. Henhapl is dedicated to supervising and educating the next generation of mental health professionals, ensuring they are equipped to address the unique needs of diverse and underserved communities. She is honored to serve as the Guidelines Committee Co-Chair of ACEPT!
