Nicole Anderson, LCSW
Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who currently works as a Staff Counselor, Clinical Case Manager and Practicum Coordinator with Student Counseling Services at Illinois State University. Although Nicole is a Chicago-native, starting her college career at Chicago State University, she transferred to Illinois State University, where she went on to acquire her bachelor’s in social work. Nicole earned her Masters degree in social work from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a concentration in mental health. Nicole has served her local community for over a decade, working with those contending with chronic mental health concerns, substance abuse, homelessness and justice system involvement. Eight years ago, Nicole was promoted to her first official leadership role as Program Manager at a local community agency. In this role, Nicole learned the challenges faced by novice leaders as it related to training and support. This implanted the seed that has led Nicole to her current enrollment in the Doctorate in Educational Administration and Foundations – Leadership, Equity and Inquiry program at Illinois State University with a research focus on clinical supervision training and best practices.
Nicole is excited for the opportunity to serve ACEPT on the Executive Committee. She looks forward to working with the Executive Committee and is excited for the opportunity to support ACEPT’s collaborative training efforts.
