2024 ACEPT PRACTICUM FAIR
The 2024 Annual Practicum Fair will be held virtually on December 6th. The Virtual ACEPT Practicum Fair will operate differently from previous years. There will be “virtual fair booths” and there will be allotted times that correspond to the training level offered (e.g., assessment, therapy, advanced, master’s). Students will have one hour to drop-in to learn more about the site’s that offer their level of training and ask questions. Students will also be provided a list of the sites, the link to the site’s virtual platform, and link to supplemental materials that the site provided.
Additionally, ACEPT Practicum Guidelines Manual and Video will Available Mid-November on www.acept.org.
IPAGS will also host a forum on applying to practicum that will take place on December 6th.
Important Dates and Times
- Masters Level Internship/Art Therapy Externship Sites: 9-10 a.m.
- Doctoral Level Intermediate/Therapy Practicum Sites: 10-11 a.m.
- Doctoral Level Advanced Practicum Sites: 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Doctoral Level Diagnostic Practicum Sites: 12-1 p.m.
We are asking that each site provides a specific link to your "virtual fair booth" using your preferred virtual platform (e.g. Google Meet, Zoom).
Sites may use their 60-minute slot however they wish. This could include formal presentation about their site or an informal time for questions and answers about the site. Students may come in and out of meetings during those 60 minutes as they may want to meet with other sites that are scheduled during the same time frame.
Submitting materials: Sites who have registered for the fair will receive a link to a folder where they can save handout materials. Sites who have videos will be asked in this registration form to provide a link that will be included in the site guide. If sites prefer or have technical difficulties saving to their folder, materials may be emailed to president-elect@aceptchicago.
If you would like to reuse handouts provided to ACEPT for last year's practicum fair, you will have an opportunity to indicate so on this registration form.
Please note: Due to this year’s Practicum Fair being a virtual event only sites that are registered ACEPT members can participate. We are asking sites to complete their ACEPT membership registration and submit dues by no later than Nov. 10th to participate.
